Marsa Alam International Airport
Marsa Alam used to be a small fishing village approximately 70km
from Al Qusair town on the Red sea coast. But now with many tourism
and accommodation facilities, Marsa Alam is growing to be a
favourite tourist destination competing with Hurghada and Safaga in

serving international and domestic flights. Current capacity of the
airport is 1200 passengers / hr and an apron for 13 aircrafts in
phase 1 rising to 2,500 Pax / hr with an apron for 26 aircraft in
phase 2.
The runway is 3.240 km long - 45 m wide and id capable of
handling Boeing 767 jets, it has also Jet A1 aircraft refueling
facilities.
