Egyptians have always been fond of food as shown on the
walls of temples and what was found in their tombs where
food was put with the the dead. People from different parts
of the world have lived in Egypt over the history which
added diversity to the Egyptian cuisine. If you are a food
lover you will enjoy being in Egypt as you will have all
sorts of options to choose from you you dine out. You can

Traditional Egyptian food

oil, butter, can be mixed with eggs, tomatoes or other

- Koshary

with lentil, rice, macaroni.
- Melokhia
A green leave plant added to meat or chicken soup and
served with rice or bread.
- Stuffed grapes leaves
Called "Mahshy warak enab" in which the leaves are
stuffed with rice, tomatoes, onion, parsley, oil, lemon
juice and spices.
- Stuffed Marrows
Ingredients include rice, tomatoes, onion and sometimes
spiced minced meat is used as stuffing ingredient.
- Stuffed cabbage
Cabbage leaves are stuffed with same ingredients that
are used in grape leaves stuffing.
